The Rotterdam Police Department is now participating in the New York State Department of Criminal Justice's Missing and Exploited Children Clearinghouse:
"Operation Safe Child"
This program uses equipment that contains the latest digital fingerprint technology and high resolution photography capabilities to produce a " Safe Child Card" which contains a child's name, biographical information and a fingerprint image of both of the child's index fingers. This information is critical in expediting the return of a missing child.
